Arnold Gets Fit is about a young bull (Arnold) and his deer friend (Alice). Arnold is tired of the same old barn yard, food, and routine. Alice feels that Arnold has a perfect situation, so they trade places. Arnold eats better and gets the exercise he lacks at Farmer Brown's while Alice grows fat and out of shape. Both realize that that they need to change their life styles. Arnold returns to the farm and continues to eat right and exercise. Alice returns to the forest life where her health returns.
The story is told with pictures that add fun to the tale. The message for 4 to 8 year olds is that fitness and fun can go hand in hand.
